Redwood City, CA - One Killed, Three Injured in Three-Car Crash on Hwy 101 at Marsh Rd

Redwood City, CA (May 26, 2021) – A 51-year-old San Jose man died in a collision that occurred early Tuesday morning, May 26, on U.S. Highway 101.

Authorities were dispatched to the scene, located just north of Marsh Road in Redwood City, around 4:00 a.m. Troopers with the California Highway Patrol said that a white Chrysler van and red Dodge pickup truck collided, causing the Dodge to roll into the northbound lanes. A short time later, a Chevrolet Astro van, driven by a 61-year-old Burlingame man, collided head-on with the Dodge.

The second collision killed the Dodge’s driver, who was the car's only occupant. The driver of the Chevrolet sustained injuries, but those traveling in the Chrysler were not seriously injured.

The CHP encouraged witnesses to contact Officer Dunn at the Redwood City CHP office if they have any information about the wreck. The investigation is ongoing.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family of the deceased victim. Our thoughts are with the injured victims in hopes of a full recovery.
