Pedestrian Accidents in California
In 2018 alone, almost a thousand pedestrians were killed on California roadways, a 26% increase from the previous five ways. Furthermore, more than 14,000 pedestrians injured, with nearly 7,500 pedestrians succumbing to their injuries after accidents occurring in California between 2009 and 2018.
Pedestrian accidents causing injuries or even fatalities are an unfortunately common part of life in California. When these victims are injured in an accident, they may have to deal with other drivers’ insurance companies, long-term physical pain, and expensive hospital bills. Occasionally, as a result of these incidents, victims succumb to their injuries, leaving their grieving families to cope with emotional trauma and financial difficulties as a result of another driver’s negligence.
