San Francisco Fire and Burn Injuries

San Francisco, CA - 15 Injured in Sierra Madre Apartment Fire at 421 Leavenworth St

According to researchers and officials from the American Burn Association, nearly 3,000 deaths occurred from residential fires across the country. Furthermore, authorities say that almost 600 more fatalities result from crash fires and other sources, including apartment fires, wildfires, and beyond. In fact, one civilian dies in a fire every two hours across the United States. Though deadly wildfires are arguably the most common type of blaze in the Golden State, residential or private building fires are responsible for hundreds of injuries and deaths each year.

Burn injuries are all too common in California, from wildfires to house fires and beyond. When several people are hurt in these fires, which are typically caused by someone else's reckless or negligent actions, they may have to cope with insurance companies, long-term physical suffering, and exorbitant hospital expenses. When victims die as a result of severe burns, their grieving families are left to cope with emotional trauma and financial difficulties, such as covering funerary costs and expensive hospital bills, in the aftermath.

However, the victims and their families affected by these devastating California fires may have legal recourse. If you've been injured in a fire that occurred due to the negligence of another party or lost a loved one in a fire, you should seek help from a California injury attorney as soon as possible. San Francisco, CA - One Injured in SF National Hotel Fire at Stevenson & Seventh Sts

San Francisco, CA (June 13, 2021) – A two-alarm blaze at San Francisco's National Hotel left one person with serious injuries, per information reported by San Francisco rescue units on Sunday afternoon, June 13.

The building was evacuated and two dogs were also rescued, along with the injured victim, around 6:00 p.m. According to a tweet from District 6 Supervisor Matt Haney, the Red Cross was assisting residents and evaluating other victims for injuries. Paramedics transported the victim to an area medical center via ambulance but did not say whether other victims were transported.

Firefighters posted footage of visible flames erupting from the back of the building, close to an alleyway located off Seventh Street. Haney added that the fire was under control but still being extinguished several hours after it started. Authorities say that the National Hotel, located at 600 Odd Fellows Way and Stevenson Street, has 90 units of permanent supportive housing for citizens who previously faced homelessness.

The incident remains under investigation, and further details about the injured victim's current condition and identity have not been released.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and everyone affected by the fire. We hope for their full recovery.

California Fire and Burn Injuries

San Francisco, CA - One Injured in SF National Hotel Fire at Stevenson & Seventh Sts

Authorities with the American Burn Association say that nearly 3,000 deaths occurred from residential fires countrywide, with almost 600 more fatalities from crash fires and other sources. In fact, one civilian dies in a fire every two hours across the United States. Though deadly wildfires are the most common type of blaze in the Golden State, residential or private building fires are responsible for hundreds of injuries and deaths each year.

From wildfires to residential blazes and beyond, burn injuries happen all too often in California. When multiple victims are injured as a result of these fires, which often occur due to another party's negligence, they may have to deal with insurance companies, long-term physical pain, and expensive hospital bills. Occasionally, victims die as a result of severe burns, leaving their grieving families to cope with emotional trauma and financial difficulties in the aftermath.

However, the victims and their families affected by California fires can seek help from a California injury attorney. A skilled attorney in California can help victims seek justice and the fair compensation they deserve after suffering in a tragic incident that occurred through no fault of their own.

San Jose, CA - Woman Killed, Two Injured in Agave Sports Bar Accident at 544 W Alma Ave

San Jose, CA (June 12, 2021) – One woman was killed and two men sustained serious injuries when a suspected drunk driver crashed into an outdoor dining area in San Jose on Friday evening, June 11, police said.

Officers with the San Jose Police Department say that the collision was reported shortly after 9:00 p.m. and occurred outside the Agave Sports Bar and Grill at 544 West Alma Avenue. An SJPD news release noted that the driver parked his white Chevrolet Silverado near the area before putting his pickup in reverse and backing up at a high speed. Shortly thereafter, the man struck three people sitting at an outdoor table. All three of the victims were rushed to the hospital via ambulance. The woman was pronounced dead later that night. The two men were seriously injured but are expected to survive.

Police identified the driver as 32-year-old Alex Moreno of San Jose. He was booked into Santa Clara County jail on two charges, including driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter. A woman was sitting in the passenger seat of Moreno's vehicle, though she was not hurt.

The investigation into the fatal wreck is ongoing.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family of the deceased victim. Our thoughts are with the injured victims in hopes of a full recovery.

Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in the Bay Area

San Jose, CA - Woman Killed, Two Injured in Agave Sports Bar Accident at 544 W Alma Ave

Fatalities and major injuries from pedestrian accidents on Bay Area roads affected more than 20,000 victims in just one year alone. Unfortunately, many lives are lost annually on California's highways, particularly major thoroughfares connecting large city centers and the local intersections within. In the Bay Area, this is especially true for incidents involving pedestrians, which often cause catastrophic consequences for these vulnerable victims.

It's clear that pedestrian accidents causing critical injuries or even death are an all-too-common reality in the Golden State. From TBIs to spinal cord injuries and exorbitant medical bills or lost wages, these victims are devastatingly affected after a pedestrian crash. Furthermore, victims and their families may have to deal with other drivers' insurance companies to try and secure a fair payout to settle their claims. When victims succumb to their injuries, their grieving loved ones are left behind to cope with these tragic circumstances.

However, the victims and their families affected by these wrecks occurring through no fault of their own can seek legal help from a Bay Area accident attorney. Contacting an attorney in California soon after your wreck ensures that you're able to seek justice and the fair, full compensation you deserve after suffering in a crash that occurred through no fault of your own.
